Leaving the Herald

Well I left the Sydney Morning Herald recently. After the best part of a decade I decided to jump ship and change tack.

The Herald is a fantastic environment for photography and I am indebted to the paper and the people. With the day-in, day-out tempo of the place you’re on the receiving end of training and experience that I’d say is unsurpassed anywhere else in the country.

I’ve left to start up an outfit called StillsGroup where commercial photography is the game. And the preparation for its launch over the last two or three months explains the reduced frequency of my posts here.

But that’s now about to change, and with the shift in the nature of my work from the desk back to the field, so is the content and nature of the blog. I hope you’ll stick around to see.
